COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to Covid-19 the way Sunshine Supper serves the meal has temporarily changed. Our next service night is Monday, June 20th. For this month - we are only asking for Monetary donations to help offset the cost of food items purchased (potato salad and meatloaf). Donations can be dropped off at the parish center or in the offertory baskets - THANK YOU!
Description: In the spirit of hospitality and community outreach, Sunshine Supper provides a free and nutritious meal for people living in the Sun Prairie area. One goal of the program is to provide a hot meal to individuals and families who would otherwise go without. A second goal is to gather area residents around the dinner table to enjoy friendship and fellowship. Meals are served every Monday from 5:30-6:30PM at 1632 W. Main Street, Suite 200. Doors open at 5 pm. Volunteers park on Hart Street and enter in the back door of the Sunshine Supper place (the door is marked).
Date/Time/Number of Hours: The third Monday of the following months (March, June, and December). Our 2022 Service Dates are: March 21, June 20 and December 19. People who donate food for the Supper need to have the food to the parish Center by 3PM on serving day. Some volunteer workers also bring in food at the time of their shift. Volunteers start at 5:00PM and work until 7:00 PM. Children under age 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Prior Knowledge Needed: No prior knowledge necessary.
How do I sign up? There is a sign-up sheet (in the respective month of service) on the bulletin board in the Church narthex.
