Sacred Hearts Parish is called to be a caring community which continues the compassion and concern of Christ’s healing presence among us. This ministry can never be limited, but must be seen in the broad context of the sacrament of human concern in ministries of Christian service. At Sacred Hearts, Pastoral Care seeks to live out the Gospel message by ministering to all those in need, especially the homebound, elderly, and bereaved.
Ministry of the Eucharist: ministers of the Eucharist bring Holy Communion to Catholics who are unable to attend Mass due to health or age by visiting them in their home or the care facility where they reside. Facilities in our area include but are not limited to Hyland Park, Prairie Gardens, Tallgrass, Sun Prairie Health Care Center, Oak Park Place, New Perspective and Colonial View. We welcome you to contact the parish center to be added to our homebound list.
Ministry of Prayer: a group of those in our community who faithfully pray for the needs of others. Click here to offer a prayer intention or to join our group of prayer warriors. Prayers for special needs may also be requested by calling the Parish Center.
Ministry of Services: Catholic Charity trained parishioners share visits, prayer and a helping hand with small tasks and other non-medical helps. Click here for information on our Care Team Ministry.
