MESSAGE FROM MSGR MOELLENBERNDT: March 15, 2020: The pastor at St. Peter Parish in Madison has been recalled to his home Archdiocese in Seattle, Washington. So Fr. Grant is now the parochial vicar at St. Peter Parish in Madison and I am the Administrator at St. Peter’s. I will also remain as pastor here at Sacred Hearts. Fr. Grant will take care of the daily running of St. Peter Parish and I will be more concerned with the administrative details. That means that as of this past Wednesday (March 11th) Fr. Grant is no longer involved here at Sacred Hearts but rather full time at St. Peter Parish. Father Lawrence remains as parochial vicar here at Sacred Hearts for the foreseeable future. So, we had three priests assigned here for a grand total of two weeks and now because of my increased role at St. Peter Parish and Fr. Grant’s departure we now have less than two priests at Sacred Hearts.
We will have a proper farewell for Fr. Grant at some point but we need to let the dust settle first. Of course, the 5:15 Mass that we added for the short time we had three priests here will now cease. Please keep Fr. Grant and myself and our parishes in your prayers.
