Description: The Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry served an average of 547 Sun Prairie families per month.  A volunteer who is assisting clients helps a person shop for items using a point system. The Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry is at Sunshine Place, 10 Rickel Road, Sun Prairie. The Mobile Food pantry serves an additional 500 area families per month.  
What you need to know: There are several opportunities to volunteer at the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry. These include assisting clients during Food Pantry hours of operation, stocking shelves and helping during the Mobile Food Pantry. Volunteers assist clients every other Monday from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM (shifts: 10:00 AM- Noon or Noon- 2:00 PM).  Stocking is done on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. There is also a Mobile Food Pantry 11 times a year on the third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM, except November (with a different schedule due to Thanksgiving baskets, which are distributed on Saturday morning prior to Thanksgiving).

You can also help by donating food and personal care items any day of the week directly to the food pantry or dropping them off at church the first weekend of each month.
